Pictori Copisti in Galeria Regelui Carol I

The art catalogue for the Pictori Copisti in Galeria Regelui Carol I exhibition proved to be one of the most difficult I had to design. It’s about painters so all the artwork contained had to be of their paintings which can sometimes prove difficult thanks to varying types of laquer and lighting conditions. Nevertheless, it has won praise throughout the museum community.

The poster used for the exhibition. I designed it rather quickly.

The art catalogue for the Pictori Copisti in Galeria Regelui Carol I exhibition proved to be one of the most difficult I had to design. It’s about painters so all the artwork contained had to be of their paintings. Which I had to photograph, for hours on end, until every detail was perfect.

The entire catalogue for your perusal.

A video I made in Adobe Premiere to promote the exhibition.

To promote the exhibition I designed a series of print-ads which showcased the work but made it more accessible, especially to a younger audience. Moreover, I came up with and used the tag-line “When the word copyright didn’t exist.” — because these paintings are copies of old masters, done at the request of the King.

Translation: Discover the selfies of a different era.

Unfortunately all of the paintings that I photographed are under copyright. I will showcase a few of the images but I will rely mostly on detail work.

Yes, that’s Rembrandt.

Once again, I thank you for looking through my work. If you have any comments, don’t hesitate to post them.
